Inquiries

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I do provide the necessary documentation to file a reimbursement claim with your insurance carrier, which typically yields a 50-80% reimbursement rate.   Please check your out-of-network benefits to determine the reimbursement rate for your specific carrier.

 

Treatment Focus

I specialize in the delivery of culturally-grounded, empirically-supported mental health care.  I provide individual therapy to adults and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health concerns and life stressors including:

  • mood disorders

  • racial and ethnic minority concerns
  • job/academic stress and career transitions
  • dating and relationship difficulties
  • family relationships
  • cultural adjustment and identity development issues

My treatment philosophy emphasizes those treatments that have shown to be effective in randomized clinical trials, specifically cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based behavioral therapies.  I work closely with psychiatrists, other providers, partners, and family members as needed to coordinate treatment efforts.  Recognizing that sociocultural factors and life history shapes individuals’ experiences and personal goals, my approach is flexible, culturally-sensitive, and aimed at facilitating your ability to live a life that is consistent with your values, needs and priorities.
